Zwitsal is continuing its “Posyandu Zwitsal” program, which this year is collaborating with Alfamidi to help more mothers maintain their babies’ skin health during their First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) through ‘4 Langka AKSI’.

Launched at Alfamidi Super Botanica Bintaro and held in July and August 2025, this program aims to reach 2,400 mothers and children in various cities in Indonesia and more than 30 million other mothers through online education. This “Posyandu Zwitsal” program also provides free access to online dermatologist consultation services for every mother who needs trusted solutions to overcome their little one's skin problems.

Niken Kinanti Suryanto, Senior Brand Manager of Zwitsal, said: "For more than 50 years in Indonesia, Zwitsal has been gently accompanying mom's journey with her baby through a series of products that have been tested to be hypo-allergenic so that they can be used for sensitive baby skin even from day one.”

“Not only that, but Zwitsal also wants to continue assisting mothers through various campaigns and educational programs to maintain the growth and development of their little ones, especially to maintain skin health - because the fact is, many parents still do not understand the importance of skin health for their babies."

It is important to realize that a baby's skin layer is 30% thinner than an adult's skin and is still in the process of development so it does not yet function perfectly. As a result, their skin loses moisture faster and is three times more prone to irritation, dryness, inflammation, rashes, and other skin problems.

Dr. Andina Christinawati R, Sp. A, M. Kes, a pediatrician, explained: "It is unfortunate that maintaining the health of their infants’ skin is still not prioritized. For example, when babies are fussy, have difficulty sleeping or show signs of reluctant eating, parents usually only attribute it to nutritional disorders, but it could be caused by skin problems that interfere with their comfort.”

“Due to low awareness, skin problems are the third highest cause of morbidity and mortality in the world among infants and toddlers[a]. This means that more education is needed for parents, especially mothers, so that they can pay extra attention to the health of their little one's skin to support their growth and development process."

This is why Zwitsal is collaborating with the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) and the Pediatric Dermatology Division of the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia - Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) to develop the ‘4 Langkah AKSI’ education, otherwise known as the Analysis Of Your Baby’s Skin at least once a month through four easy steps, namely by checking the head area, cheeks, folds, and diaper area:

  • Check for rashes and blisters: Are there any rashes or blisters in the area?
  • Check skin texture: Is it dry, scaly, reddish or bumpy?
  • Skin sores: Are there any wounds in the area?
  • Check your child’s crying: Does your child cry when a certain area is touched?

If any of the above symptoms are found, Zwitsal urges the parents to take their child to a doctor immediately.

‘4 Langkah AKSI' is the core of the annual “Posyandu Zwitsal” program, which has been implemented since 2023. During these two years, it has benefited 6,200 mothers and children in various parts of Indonesia and educated more than 35 million people through digital platforms.

As a continuation, this year's “Posyandu Zwitsal” program is collaborating with Alfamidi to help mothers become directly educated by competent health workers so that their little ones maintain optimal skin health and hygiene.

Retriantina Marhendra, the Corporate Communication Manager of Alfamidi, said: "Collaboration with Zwitsal is very much in line with one of our agenda, which this year carries the theme ‘ Edukasi Keluarga Balita’ as a way to express this company’s concern for the growth and health of the nation's next generation of children. To date, more than 7,000 toddler families have been educated through this program, and our target in 2025 is to reach up to 15,000 family participants who have toddlers."

"Not stopping here, the ‘ Edukasi Keluarga Balita’ program will be routinely run by Alfamidi every month in all our branches spread across various regions of Indonesia, reaching more healthy families to strengthen our commitment to support an even healthier, more intelligent generation of Indonesians," added Retriantina.

To reach more beneficiaries, for the first time, the “Posyandu Zwitsal” program is also providing a free online dermatologist consultation service through “Zwitsal Konsultasi Happy Skin”, which can be accessed via WhatsApp 0819-9900-0072. Supported by experienced doctors, moms can easily consult them to better deal with their little ones’ skin problems anytime and anywhere.

Interviewed during the middle of this event, Sabrina Anggraini, a well-known “mompreneur” and podcaster shared this: "As a new mom, there are many things that I still have to learn about the growth and development of my child, Launa. It turns out that, in addition to providing proper nutrition and stimulation, maintaining Launa's skin health must also be prioritized.”

“I am therefore very excited because in the ‘Posyandu Zwitsal’ program, I can shop for home needs while learning about the importance of checking Launa's skin health regularly through the ‘4 Langkah AKSI’. Moreover, it is now more complete because there is a teleconsultation service too, so there’s no need to worry anymore because whenever Launa's skin has a problem, there is always a doctor who is ready to help.

“In the future, the ‘Posyandu Zwitsal’ program will continue to collaborate with various parties to spread the importance of ‘4 Langkah AKSI’ to more parents in Indonesia, so that together we can grow healthy generations with healthy skin,” Niken concluded.
