Exactly one decade after the sequel to “Ada Apa dengan Cinta?” (AADC) was released, Royco continues the journey of Cinta and Rangga through a short film entitled “Bahasa Cinta yang Beda” starring Dian Sastrowardoyo and Sissy Prescillia and directed by Teddy Soeria Atmadja.

Press Conference Gala Premiere “Bahasa Cinta yang Beda”.

Launched at a gala premiere event at XXI Epicentrum Jakarta, the film invites everyone to express their love language through simple acts of care that are carried out sincerely and consistently – including through a plate of “Omelette Cinta” with the rich, savory taste of Royco Bumbu Kaldu Rasa Ayam Kampung.

Amid modern life filled with routines and various distractions, opportunities to truly connect with the people closest to us often become increasingly limited. However, connection is an important part of every relationship, whether with family, friends, or partners. This is where love languages become a universal way to show care, build closeness, and keep relationships meaningful.

Nuning Wahyuningsih, Head of Marketing Foods Unilever Indonesia, shared, “As a brand that has been accompanying Indonesians for decades in creating meaningful moments through foods, Royco believes that cooking is one of the simple love languages that anyone can practice. It is also important to realize that love languages do not always require beautiful words or grand gestures, because care often feels most meaningful when it comes through the small things we consistently do. Through this belief, Royco wants to inspire people to see that everyday cooking can actually be a way to show care and reconnect with the people closest to us.”

To bring this message to life, Royco highlights cooking Omelette as a symbol of a different, simple, yet personal love language, because what makes a dish special is the care behind its preparation. Something as simple as a plate of Omelette can represent someone’s presence being willing to pause from a busy schedule and take the time to prepare it; the attentiveness to understand a loved one’s preferences – from their favorite ingredients and preferred level of doneness to how they like it served; as well as the quality time created while cooking or enjoying it together.

Moreover, a delicious Omelette does not require a complex recipe, but rather small touches that make its taste even more special. Since consistency is an important part of a love language, the presence of Royco Bumbu Kaldu Rasa Ayam Kampung delivers a consistent rich savory taste in every serving of Omelette, making it a love language for everyone who wants to strengthen the connection between them.

Bringing this message closer to the public, Royco collaborates with one of Indonesia’s most iconic love stories, AADC. After its sequel was last released in 2016, the journey of Cinta and Rangga now continues through a fresh perspective in the short film “Bahasa Cinta yang Beda.” While the story of Cinta and Rangga has long been closely associated with poetry as a medium for expressing feelings, in this film Royco invites audiences to see that as time passes, love can also be expressed in different ways, including through cooking.

For Dian Sastrowardoyo, returning to the role of Cinta is a special experience. “AADC will always have a special place in my heart, so I’m really excited to have the opportunity to continue the chapter of Cinta and Rangga’s relationship. This time, we no longer see them in the phase of searching for or discovering love, but after years of building a life together – there are routines, busy schedules, and distance that can make the connection between them feel increasingly stale. Without giving too many spoilers, I think the story is very relatable to all kinds of relationships, and I hope this film reminds us not to be fixated on how love ‘should’ be expressed; rather, we should continue to discover the love languages that have always been there, but we often fail to notice.”

Teddy Soeria Atmadja, the director, also shared his creative process behind the making of the short film. “The biggest challenge was maintaining the characters and dynamics of Cinta and Rangga that audiences are already very familiar with, while placing them in a more mature phase of life. This short film does not simply recreate the romance of the original AADC, but explores how love and the way we express it can change throughout the journey of a relationship. The story was intentionally built around situations that are close to everyday life, so while retaining the nostalgic elements for AADC fans, the film also brings a fresh perspective that is relevant to the dynamics of relationships today.”

The short film explores many simpler moments between Cinta and Rangga, including how “Omelette Cinta” seamlessly becomes a representation of the love language between them.

“We hope the short film ‘Bahasa Cinta yang Beda’ can inspire everyone to reconnect and strengthen their relationships with the people closest to them through a more meaningful love language. Just like ‘Omelette Cinta’ with Royco Bumbu Kaldu Rasa Ayam Kampung; a simple dish that can become a way to show care and affection, while creating memories together,” concluded Nuning.

The short film “Bahasa Cinta yang Beda” will be available to watch starting 14 September 2026 on Royco Indonesia YouTube channel @RoycoIndonesia. The collaboration will also continue through the end of the year with various special surprises from Royco for AADC fans across Indonesia.

So, don’t just say you love someone – express your love through a plate of “Omelette Cinta.”
