Future of Work
We see meaningful work as everyone’s right. We’re taking big steps to equip our own people and others for the future.
Automation and new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning are reshaping many roles in business. Adapting to these changes at speed is critical to the people and companies they work for.
Unilever's ambition is to equip everyone to adapt and continue to grow and develop by pursuing a career, implementing new ways of working or providing different training. To realize this commitment, we focus on these three main factors:
- Reskilling or upskilling our employees with future-fit skills by 2025
- Helping equip 10 million young people with essential skills by 2030
- Pioneering new employment models and providing our people with flexible employment options by 2030
Open up space for future leaders
In addition to growing our business, we are determined to continue developing future leaders who are insightful, able to compete in the international arena, and have a strong purpose (i.e. noble goals) so that they can always bring benefits to both their communities and the environment.
To help the Company realize its commitment to encourage the spirit and potential of young Indonesian talents, we provide acceleration space to voice aspirations as well as ideas in finding solutions, both for the business and various other global problems through the Unilever Future Leaders League (UFLL).
We are also running the Unilever Future Leaders Program (UFLP), a three-year program designed to prepare Unilever's future leaders through challenging projects and roles to become business leaders.
In addition, to support women in engineering careers that are still dominated by men, we have also launched the Women in Engineering Leadership Fellowship (WULF) program, which aims to provide an overview about the supply chain world in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
