Sunsilk also released a song entitled ‘Unbreakable” sung by Shanty to help spread the message of the Sunsilk Unbreakable Women campaign. The lyrics are expected to inspire and encourage Indonesian women that they are blessed with strenght that they have to be grateful for and nurture.

“I’m proud to be part of the Sunsilk Unbreakable Women campaigm. I myself experienced the struggles when I started my carrier as a model through various castings and competitions, and tried my capability as a VJ, and later became a singer and film star. There were loads of problems, such as my mother who wouldn’t allow me to pursue such carriers, the envoriment of the entertainment industry, and the media cynicial views. But with faith and unbreakable spirit, I reached my goals to become what I am now with decent achievements,” Shanty shared her story.

“I feel like crying every time I remember the media reviews of my first album – all were negative, they said my voice is out of tune, I was said to have taken advantage of my connection with MTV, opportunistic artist, and a barrage of other criticisms. On the other hand, I was appreciated in other countries, such as Malaysia, Brunei and Hong Kong. A song in my first album was the number one song for six months in a KL radio’s chart. It was a very unforgetable bitter experience, but I turned it into a faith to make a new start. Recently, I mustered up the courage to produce my new album ‘9907’, featuring ‘Unbreakable’,” Shanty contined sharing her experiences with great enthusiasm.

The campaign features a singing contest, encouraging Indonesian women to celebrate their unbreakable spirit by taking part in a contest to sing ‘Unbreakable’.

“Currently, more and more women listen to song and sing, even in public. Through songs, they can express themselves, their heart and mind. Sunsilk expects that using a song, sung not only by their idol but also themselves, in spreading the message is expected to touch as many as possible Indonesian women to become unbreakable person,” Aryo explained the reason for the singing contest.

The campaign uses the NAF Karaoke and Alfamart networks to make it easier for the women to record their voices and enroll themselve. Sunsilk is holding roadshow in Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Malang. For those who are unable to record their songs in those places, Sunsilk has set up a faciity to send their songs on-line, via telephone or Web site www.cricleofbeauty.net. The winner will sing the song with Shanty in a program to be broadcasted by a local TV station in relation with theUnbreakable Women campaign.

“We hope that with this campaign will inspire more women to realize their natures and strenght of being unbreakable. Whatever walk of live they choose, Indonesian women should be able to show their strengh. Hurdles and challanges will never break them,” Aryo concluded.
