Unilever Indonesia received MAKE (Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise) award 2009 for achievement in implementing excellent knowledge management within the organization. The award was presented on Wednesday, 15 July 2009 in the Ritz Carlton Hotel Jakarta by Dunamis Consulting Group, the partner of worldwide HR consultant, Teleos. As the winner, Unilever Indonesia together with the first and second runner-ups will represent Indonesia to compete in Asian MAKE award October this year in Seoul.
Alex Denni, Chairman 2009 of Indonesian MAKE explained, “Winners of MAKE award are highly admired companies for their outstanding effort in managing knowledge in the company.”
Unilever Indonesia, he added, won the award because the company has created a learning system where employees can easily access to select a wide range of trainings in order to develop themselves. The award committees, comprised of CEOs of some prominent companies, and knowledge management practitioners, assessed that not only Unilever Indonesia has robust learning channels; the company also has been able to create continuous learning as part of the company culture.
