"Sunsilk Women’s Night Of Inspiration" from Sunsilk

15/03/2005 : As one of the efforts to show its concern for Indonesian women, Sunsilk organized the “Sunsilk Women’s Night of Inspiration” attended by Meutia Hatta Swasono, Minister of Women’s Empowerment on Tuesday, March 15.

In the event, Sunsilk presented Indonesian women who have played a role as the Sunsilk Girl and have now achieved success in their respective lives, becoming an inspiration for other Indonesian women. 

Sunsilk also expressed its support to the development of Indonesian women through the Melati Foundation, a foundation which has succeeded in creating Indonesian women as potential human resource through education and training throughout Indonesia.

Senior Branch Manager of Sunsilk, Umiyana Savitri, or Ade, said that “As a brand which focuses on the Indonesia women, Sunsilk fully understands the problems concerning hair and provides the correct solution for the needs of each women.   From here, Sunsilk now wants to take a step into the lives of women in relation to the development of their performance and potential.   We want to give inspiration to Indonesian women to continuously develop their potential to work, perform and enhance the quality of their lives and those of the people around them.”

During the opportunity, Sunsilk announced its support to the Melati Foundation by helping with one of their programs, specifically in relation to the development and empowerment of women in small businesses.   Sunsilk will also hold various activities and training for women in cooperation with the Foundation and a major women’s magazine.

“Our hope is that these efforts will allow Indonesian women to improve their potential in order to achieve a better quality of life,” said Ade.

In line with the aim of encouraging Indonesian women to realize their potential, Sunsilk also introduces several Indonesian women who have or have been connected to the Sunsilk name, which can become an inspiration to other Indonesian women.

“Sunsilk is proud to see that many among the models and former models of Sunsilk have succeeded in realizing their potential.   Names such as Inneke Koesherawati, Keke Harun, Astry Ananta and others, are names familiar to us all.   They have played a role as Sunsilk models and now are successful in their respective fields.   They are women who provide inspiration to all of us,” said Ade.

Inneke koesherawaty, for instance, has successfully created a positive image of herself, with the public’s choice of her as a star with a religious image in an opinion polling by a magazine last year.   Keke Harun has made a success in business and the Look Model Agency she established.   Meanwhile, Asty Ananta, although young, has managed to carve a career as a model, presenter and actress.

Inneke Koesherawati said she is proud that she has been portrayed as an inspirative figure for Indonesian women. Inne, as she is called, feels very lucky to have the support of her husband and family.

”I am pround to see Indonesian women not only beautiful but smart and have good careers,” said Inne.   But, she added, women should not forget God’s will; and while conducting business, must also continue to pray.

The Sunsilk Women’s Night of Inspiration was attended by Sunsilk stars such as Inneke Koesherawati, Asty Ananta, Keke Harun, Alya Rohali, Anissa Pohan, Intan Nuraini, Amara, Agni, Anggur, Ririn, Lala, Vera Veriska and Marissa with entertainment by singer Bonita dan Friend Band and MC   Yulia Rahman.
