More than 10,000 Girls Celebrated Pond’s 10.000 Faces Day

Pond’s white beauty facial skin care brand of PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk, held Pond’s 10.000 Faces Day on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in the Southern Plaza of Senayan, Jakarta.The event presented 10,000 Indonesian girls having been applying Pond’s moisturizer with glowing and pinkish faces. Also attending the event were Hira Triadi, the Senior Brand Manager of Pond’s, Afgan and Alexa.
The event was the peak of Pond’s 10,000 Faces program ‘Wajahmu Mengalihkan Duniaku’. It was part of education about facial skill beauty treatment with Pond’s moisturizer best done from teens.The theme of this event was taken by Pond’s from the single released by Afgan titled ‘Wajahmu Mengalihkan Duniaku’ and Alexa titled ‘Wajahmu Indahkan Duniaku’ introduced by Pond’s in the launching of the event in May 2009.
Hira Triadi, the Senior Brand Manager Pond’s of PT Unilever Indonesia, Tbk stated, “Both singles released by Pond’s white beauty along with Afgan and Alexa are part of our education program for Indonesian girls to make them realize the importance of taking care of their facial skins as early as possible, especially with Pond’s moisturizer. The singles are aspired from male admirations to ward the beauty of the girls’ clear and blushing face. Ever since both singles were released, they have become favorite songs for the girls,” in front of the press a few minutes before the peak of the event started.
It is not surprising to see it happened. The event has been running for six months and socialized through various mass media, series of road show to schools, teens hangout places, well known supermarkets as well as social networking websites so that it managed to obtain more than 10,000 pictures of well-cared, glowing, and blushing Indonesian girls from various cities after applying Pond’s moisturizer. It shows that education message that has been delivered by Pond’s, namely the importance of taking care of facial skin with Pond’s moisturizer was able to be absorbed by the girls. Those 10,000 pictures of faces will be displayed in the peak of the event of Pond’s 10,000 Faces Day. In addition, Pond’s will announce 5 winners who will get the opportunities to have their pictures displayed on Pond’s billboard.
Afgan who also attended the summit event of Pond’s 10,000 Faces Day expressed his enthusiasm, ”Wow, I am so excited to see that the single ‘Wajahmu Mengalihkan Duniaku’ released along with Pond’s has motivated girls to have glowing and blushing facial skins because they have tried on Pond’s moisturizer. Take a look at these… 10,000 pictures of girls’ faces which are not only making them more confident, but also turn the boys’ world up side down!” he said it with a smile.
Aqi, the vocalist of Alexa, who represented the other four members of the band also said that, “Any boys would love to see girls with well-cared faces. Honestly, the song ‘Wajahmu Indahkan Duniaku’ is the expressions of our admiration towards girls who care about taking care of the beauty of their facial skins with Pond’s moisturizer. The lyrics of this song are our testimonials that the first thing that attracts boy’s attention from girls is their faces.”
Afgan and Alexa who attended the press conference prior to the event, had shocked two girls out of five winners of Pond’s 10,000 Faces to perform together on stage with them, they were Ilma and Meidiana “Well-cared, clear and pinkish white faces do not only provide you with more self confidence but also able to make you get boys’ attentions. Especially when we heard the songs of Afgan and Alexa, we can become more attentive in taking care of our facial skin with Pond’s moisturizer, ”said the two girls out of five winners of Pond’s 10,000 Faces with their pinkish blushes because they were too shy to meet their idols, Afgan and Alexa.
Aside from the performances from Afgan and Alexa who joined the celebrations, there were: Tangga, Gruvi and Metro. A series of interesting activities had been prepared by Pond’s to welcome 10,000 faces of Indonesian girls. Abeauty transformation dome in the entrance clearly described the skin color transformation which is getting clearer and more pinkish after using Pond’s moisturizer. Next, a number of cornerswere ready to entertain visitors such as: dazzling corner, music corner, narciss corner and love corner. Girls who came to the peak of the Pond’s 10,000 Faces Day event can do various activities they particularly like such as: make-over, tattoo glitter, skin check and consultation, various games and taking pictures with their favorite artists.
“Pond’s realizes that taking care of facial skins since teens with Pond’s moisturizeris very important. Through Pond’s 10,000 Faces, we want to motivate the girls to be more aware of taking care their facial skins to be more glowing and blushing. It will not only provide them with more self confidence, but it will also make them able to turn the boys’ world up side down,” said Hira with a smile after closing the peak of Pond’s 10,000 Faces Day event.
