Unilever Indonesia Achieved Three Awards Best Public Companies 2011

PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk achieved three awards as Best Public Companies 2011 on a ranking SWA 100: Indonesia's Best Wealth Creators 2011. The award giving ceremony was held at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, on 23 June.

These awards are: Rank 1st Indonesia Best Public Companies 2011 (Household & Personal Products category), Ranked 2nd Indonesia Best Public Companies 2011 (overalls), and Rank 5th ASEAN Best Public Companies 2011.

SWA worked with Stern Stewart & Co, by using the method of measurement Wealth Added Index (WAI). The basis of calculations used in this method includes the financial performance of the acquired company shareholders. So the rank companies that fall into this SWA100 could become a reference for investors in choosing stocks listed company in the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Wealth Added Index (WAI) takes the perspective of all shareholders as measure of wealth creation by a company for all shareholders, including the owners of the new shares. Companies that obtain positive WAI mean total shareholder return or return generated exceeds the cost of equity (CoE) or of its required return (which should have obtained a minimum return investors if compare with costs and potential cost of their capital).
